A’s to your Q’s

My local watering hole doesn’t have SOS Charge and I want it!

Get out of here! Email us at info@soscharge.com with “I need SOS at my Local” in the subject line and we’ll get onto them. What’s more, if they take us on, we’ll send you a $50 spotters fee so don’t forget to include your name & postal address.

My Charger isn’t charging

Disaster! Have you flicked the on switch up to the ‘on’ position? If this doesn’t work, we’re really sorry but you might have a dodgy charger and that’s not cool. Send us a picture of your charger to service@soscharge.com with “My Charger isn’t Charging” in the subject line along with your postal address and we’ll send you out a replacement ASAP!

My Charger is broken

This is the worst. Sorry, we take our quality control seriously but sometimes it happens. Send us a picture to service@soscharge.com with “My Charger is Broken” in the subject line along with your postal address and we’ll send you out a replacement ASAP!

I have an iPhone and got a weird message

Did it say “This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone”? We’ve seen this too – but only on a handful of the chargers – and we’ve tested a lot! We have not seen any resulting issues from this; the chargers still charge, the phones still work. Best we can guess is that Apple want you to pay more for their version of the same thing as they cost soooo much more to have the Apple endorsement! BUT if you’re not happy, send us a picture of your charger with “I have an iPhone and got a weird message” in the subject line to service@soscharge.com along with your postal address and we’ll send you out a replacement ASAP!

Can I still make phone calls while my phone is charging?

Sure can … and take selfies and Snapchat BUT we recommend that to charge your phone quickly and efficiently, you put it in Flight mode (or at least Energy Saving mode).

Are SOS Chargers water resistant?

They’re about as water resistant as your phone … so in other words, No (this is because of the USB port making it a partially open unit).

Do I need to charge my SOS Charger before its first use?

No way Jose!   Your SOS Charger should be fully charged when you receive it.  The aim of them is that you can use it straight out of the ‘box’.  If for some reason it is not, please let us know!  Send us a picture of your charger to service@soscharge.com with “My Charger wasn’t Charged” in the subject line, along with your postal address and we’ll send you out a replacement ASAP!

How do I recharge my SOS Charger?

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!  There are 3 simple steps:

  1. Make sure your SOS Charger on/off switch is in the ‘on’ position (ie flick the switch up)
  2. Plug in and charge your SOS Charger for at least 90 mins (for both iPhone and Android versions)
  3. Unplug your SOS Charger and make sure you flick the on/off switch to ‘off’ once charged before you chuck it in your bag / car / desk … all ready for the next time you need it!
